The objective of Basic Green is to provide basic information on plant development, growth, culture, and maintenance. Our intention is "to build a foundation of knowledge" of nursery and landscape practices. Whether you are diagnosing a plant problem or just trying to become more familiar with a green industry topic, Basic Green should be a starting point for your search.

It is the long-term goal of my team to provide this basic technical information to English- and Spanish-speaking workers in the nursery and landscape industry. It is estimated that 65 percent or more of the Ohio nursery and landscape industry workforce is composed of Latino employees. Many of these Latino employees understand little English; Spanish is their primary language.
